Astonishing Generosity

When it came time to announce our annual food drive, I must admit I was a bit nervous. It seems like everyone is asking for food donations this year—schools, scouts, work and neighbors. In addition, the needs of our community have exceeded previous years due to the fatigued economy. I wondered if we as a church would have the capacity to respond when so many of us are struggling to survive.

Once again, you exhibited a spirit of Christ-like humility and generosity. You went beyond all expectation across all three campuses giving 23,100 pounds of food and $16,750! It’s great to be part of a church that cares and is making a difference in our community.

And a round of applause for our students who did an exceptional job receiving, packing and loading the tons of donated food.

By the way, as Easter nears, the construction project at SLP is progressing nicely. Thanks again to those who are supporting the project financially through the God’s Amazing Church campaign. Your generosity is making a difference! (If you’d like to participate, please write “GAC” in the note section of your check.)

Kid-O-Deo Gets a Makeover

We want to make sure that everyone who comes for Easter services gets a seat and has a positive worship experience. If you haven’t RSVP’d yet, you can do so now on the Eagle Brook website.

God is working in amazing ways at SLP. I’m glad we’re on this journey together.
