Generosity

Hey everyone,

This weekend we will be collecting donations (cash, check, grocery card and non-perishables) for the WB foodshelf at our site. If I had to be real honest with you, one of my “not so secret” desires for our site is that it will be known for it’s generosity. I love when we take on challenges like furniture assembly day, the Bridging furniture drive, the backpacks, showboxes and the food shelf support. I think these opportunities require such little money and work on our behalf, yet when we all do it, it makes a huge difference in our community.

If you haven’t gone shopping yet, I had one person give me a GREAT idea. Go as a family. No matter what age your kids are, all go together, shop for the items that you want to give, and make the purchase as a family. It’s a great way to role-model generosity and to connect as a family at the same time.
