Psalms: Honest Prayer — Confident Prayer

posted June 14, 2010 by eagle brook | |

The weekend of June 12/13, Senior Pastor Bob Merritt continued the Psalms series with “Confident Prayer.”

It’s easy to lose heart, to wilt and doubt our abilities and worth. For some people, all it takes is a look, a small comment, or a minor setback for them to go into the tank and to feel completely devalued and incompetent. That’s not how God made us, or what he intends for us.

Psalm 8 reminds us of our worth and helps build our confidence in two ways:

• Remembering who God is.

• Remembering who we are:

By the position he’s put us in.
By the pronouncement he’s made about us.
By the purpose he’s given us.

If you missed the message, it is online now.
