Faith grows from hearing the word of the Lord.” (Romans 10:17)

Jump in and join us as we begin a new Bible reading plan! Imagine the powerful momentum if all 15,000 of us were growing in God’s truth together. You can pick up a Bible reading plan at Information Central on the weekend or find it online at eaglebrookchurch.com/readyourbible.

As we read the Bible, we know that we are growing in wisdom, character and obedience. Our new reading plan begins in the book of Romans. Let’s take a look at what we’ll be learning.

The book of Romans is actually Paul’s letter to the Roman Church. He sent this letter before going to visit them. His purpose for writing was to give them an introduction to his message. The book of Romans is Paul’s statement of faith and the blueprint of the Christian faith. Paul shares four key truths of the Christian faith—all people are sinful; Christ died to forgive our sins; we are made right with God through faith; this begins a new life with a new relationship with God.

Paul explains that the Christian life has practical implications that will affect how we choose to behave each day. And that the gospel will transform our lives and make way for God to impact every part of our lives. Here’s Paul’s blueprint:

THE ROMANS BLUEPRINT

WHAT TO BELIEVE (Romans 1:1 – 11:36)
• Sinfulness is humanity
• Forgiveness of sin through Christ
• Freedom from sin’s grasp
• Israel’s past, present, and future

HOW TO BEHAVE (Romans 12:1 – 16:27)
• Personal Responsibility
• Personal Notes

The book of Romans is the roadmap of our belief in Christ. Let’s continue to dive into God’s word and discover more about Jesus and our faith together. Start reading Romans with us today!
