WBL Email

This is an email that was sent to everyone I have on my WBL email list.  If you’re not on it, feel free to email me at don.graffam@eaglebrookchurch.com and we’ll get you on it for the future.

Hello Friends of WB Site and Happy Christmas season to all of you!

There’s so much to talk about and so little time (space).  I felt the need to connect on email was unavoidable.

Let’s take a second to look back at November.

Operation Christmas Child – In a word – Unbelievable – EBC donated over 5000 shoeboxes which is an increase over last year’s number of 333%.  Remember, each shoebox delivers the good news of Jesus as well.  Just imagine the huge impact these little boxes can have.  Way to go everyone and thanks for all your participation!

Thanksgiving Eve Encounter – In a word – Unforgettable – To see the crosses there filled with red post-it notes of thanksgiving is an image I want to burn into my mind for quite some time.  The energy of the room, the music, the practice of giving thanks and the time of communion made for a real highlight of my year – I hope the same is true for many of you.  Here’s a couple pix to help us remember.

Now let’s look forward for a bit

Is it Just me? – In a word – Un-missable (is that a word?) – I know about some things that are in the works for this weekend that are going to make this one that you won’t want to miss.  I realize many of you are launching out invitations and praying for your friends over this weekend.  I’m with you in this and looking forward to how God works.

WBL – 11:05 – In a word – Full – If you haven’t been to the 11:05 service recently, that might be a good thing.  We are regularly having over 700 people in attendance with 750 seats in the room.  We will be adding some “less than ideal” seats in the back of the room and are prepared to open the back wall to the Multi-purpose room if need be.  However, the best thing is for us to spread out into other service times.  9:00 still has some room and Saturday has quite a bit of room.  The best option is to come Saturday if you can, especially on a weekend like this one.  Let’s be honest – sleeping in on Sunday is a win anyway.

Food at WB – In a word – scrumptious – I know, we don’t use that word often enough – but the cooking for the Saturday night meals is outstanding.  If you haven’t tried it…well…you just gotta taste it for yourself.  This is a good weekend to try because we’ll have Keys Café coming in with a special soup and sandwich night.  Sunday will also have a brunch day.  We do special meals on the first weekend of each month (5:05 on Sat and 10:05 on Sun). Come hungry!

Christmas at “The Bear” – In a word – powerful – Most of you know the impact that our Christmas Eve services have on our lives.  Let’s start praying and planning for this now.  We’ll be asking people to RSVP this weekend, but you can also do it online where you can track the status of each service as well.  http://needs.eaglebrookchurch.com/christmaseve/tickets.php – Let us know when you’re coming so we can all have an optimal experience.

At this point I’d come up with some fun story to conclude with – but I think I’ve overstayed my welcome.

See you this weekend!

Don
